Happy New Year everyone!

The NEW ALBUM is nearing completion! "Retrospex" is a collection of music spanning a 27 year period of my career (1984 - 2011), and I'm really excited to be able to bring it to you. The majority of music on "Retrospex" is previously unreleased and features a number of fantastic musicians, including Wade Matthews, Tommy Lepson, John Previti, Tim Ford, Rick Whitehead, Bar B. Q. Barry, and Danny Gatton. There's music from Fast Eddie, Triplicity T_1 & T_2, B/D2, Murray Fentress, Bar B. Q. Barry Kukowski, Ron Diehm, and a couple of my favorite unreleased demos, too.

Retrospex"Retrospex" is an Enhanced CD; just pop it into your computer to get access to an additional 8 tunes from Son O' Bop, Fast Eddie, the organ trio RPB, some Southern-Prog rock from Roe, Hodges, Biery, and a few videos from my archives of Triplicity T_2, the Nils Lofgren Band, and the Danny Gatton Trio. You also get extensive project information, recording notes, and all the music from the project available for download in high-quality MP3, FLAC, and WAV formats.

The original release date has been pushed back to sometime in February (we're waiting on some of the licensing stuff to be completed). Pre-orders will start 2 weeks before the release date. I'll keep you posted here and on the Facebook page.

In other news, in the coming months, the scope of this page will be changing slightly. I want to try do something a bit different here, but I'm not yet sure of the direction it will take. I'll keep you posted on that, too.

Read About My First Show With Mahogany Rush!

In August, I posted a detailed account of my first gig with Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush at 1981's Heavy Metal Holocaust. I received so many great comments on it that I've made it available for you to check out in case you missed it the first time. It's actually become one of the most visited pages on the site!

Modern Drummer Update

Prior to starting the Nils Lofgren Band 2006 tour, I spoke with Robyn Flans of Modern Drummer magazine. This interview was condensed into an "Update" in the October '06 issue, and is still floating around out there in cyber-space. If you'd like to check out the interview online, you can click here.
